I am a mystic, simultaneously holding earthly materiality with the realms of the unseen. My truth holds that this deeply messy and complex human experience is intrinsically a spiritual one. In this visceral human form, our souls and bodies are in an ongoing dance. The vast, infinite, everything-all-at-once soul has a chance - while human - to slow down to the speed of a nervous system. The mud of human experience and feeling is a playground for the soul. Our bodies hold our feelings, and our feelings are the gateway to the lessons that our soul has come earth-side to learn. We have, right here - within our own lives, relationships, and bodies - everything our soul needs to learn, grow, and thrive.

I believe all of us to have an innate drive to transformationally spin towards alignment with LOVE. That the whole universe has an innate drive to spin towards alignment with LOVE. Our energetic intelligence exceeds the cognitive.

But that doesn’t mean this growing and healing thing is easy. Our mundane human experience may be the gateway to the soul-lessons we yearn to learn, but paradoxically the body also keeps us stuck. Our nervous systems have in innate orientation towards SAFETY, and all kinds of deep subconscious (trauma) stories pit safety against our own freedom, against love. Living in a world that grapples with all kinds of hate, our bodies collect experiences (from our own life, but also from the collective, and from the ancestral nervous systems we inherit) that posit safety as antithetical to growth/change/trust/freedom/aliveness/wholeness/love.

In other words, our bodies often believe it to be UNSAFE to move towards all of these beautiful things because truly, at one point or place in time, it probably was.
